Scrutiny of Northamptonshire County Council’s Draft Budget for 2011/12
Posted : 2010-12-14 08:24:00
I would like to advise you of a meeting of Northamptonshire County Council’s Scrutiny Management Committee taking place on 20 December 2010, which will start the process of scrutinising the Council’s draft budget for 2011/12. As you may know Scrutiny involves councillors investigating how well local public services operate and reviewing new policy proposals under development. In this way it provides ideas, challenge and debate that contribute to improving services and addressing local issues. Scrutiny councillors will be reviewing the draft Council budget during December 2010 and January 2011. They will look at the aims of selected budget proposals and how delivering them may affect services. Their findings will then be reported to the Cabinet for consideration before the final budget is discussed.
